Sustainability at Reison Medical
Sustainability is a fundamental part of Reison Medical’s operations. We strive to create long-term benefits for both people and the environment by focusing on three areas: economic, social, and environmental sustainability.
We actively work to contribute to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goals 3, 5, 8, and 12. This means Reison works towards: Good Health and Well-being, Gender Equality, Decent Work and Economic Growth, and Responsible Consumption and Production.
Social Sustainability
Since 1960, our mission has been to extend and improve people’s lives by providing high-quality accessories for operating tables. We care for our employees and suppliers, believing that equality and the equal value of all people are fundamental values.
We actively work to create an inclusive work environment where everyone is treated with respect and given equal opportunities to grow. Today, we have a balanced gender distribution, with a slightly higher proportion of women.
We prioritize local suppliers and value long-term relationships built on transparency and close collaboration. This gives us deep insight into our suppliers’ operations, ensuring high quality and responsible production.

Environmental Sustainability
We actively work to minimize our environmental impact through various initiatives:
- Local suppliers: We prioritize local suppliers, which shortens delivery distances and reduces carbon emissions from transport.
- High quality and longevity: Our products are of high quality and designed for long-term use. Through maintenance and repairs, we extend the lifespan of our products, thereby reducing the consumption of raw materials, energy use, and emissions associated with extraction and production.
- Reduced use of chemicals: We reduce and control the amount of chemicals used in our production to protect both the environment and our employees.
- Energy-efficient production: We strive to reduce energy consumption in our manufacturing processes.
- Lower carbon emissions per operation: By providing long-lasting products, we reduce the carbon footprint per operation for our instruments.
- Consolidation of Orders: To reduce the number of deliveries and, in turn, carbon emissions, we consolidate orders. This contributes to more efficient transportation and a reduced environmental impact.
